Can anyone tell me what the new rules in the wrc for 2006 are
i think active diffs are banned does this mean the cars are essentially grp a bar electro hydraulic sequential gearboxes :dunno:

I heard that aswell,

Are the differences between WRC and Grp A,, that they dont have active Diff's,

no the wrc regulartions are completly different to group A - cars can be wider for a start which is why the wrc sub looks so different to the old gp A mode

Group A is also based upon a production run of 5000 cars, WRC are not-I think you only have to build 20 WRC cars to be eligible

From what ive gathered, the basic changes are the move back to passive differntials (as previously mentioned) as well as the lack of water cooling in part of the engine.
Im not quite exactly sure what part of the cooling system is being changed, but I assume there is no performance cut (appart from the slight possibility of having to detune the cars slightly as there is no longer that extra cooling ability).
Going by the '06 Focus' performance in Rally Autralia, there isnt a notable performance differance, but the cars did seem more sideways (which is visually appealing).
