I have been using maxtor all the way but keen to find out some more user experiences.

Thanks in advance,

on reading lots of reviews chris i would i have put maxtor bottom of the pile, they have a very poor reliability record!

Maybe the new range are better.

This drive will just be for extra storage and reliability is probably the most important thing I need.

Cheers

seagate

some seagate's run cooler, maybe slower, but hopefully more reliable. You usually get them with a 5yr guarantee. All depends on size, rpm, additional cooling can't hurt.
