When is the Wilson clan going to catch themselves on? This nepotism is unbelievable. For goodness sake, Malcom, wake up and smell the coffee. Mathew is a very very good driver, but there are drivers in the UK who are much much better. Lets get real and at the very least try and get new UK driver talent who at least have a chance. Malcom, im sure you know the phone numbers of Kris Meeke, Gareth McHale, Ryan Champon, Gary Jennings, Guy Wilks etc etc etc. there is soooooooo many brilliant young drivers. God, the Monte was embarrassing, with PWRC cars faster on some stages, Sweden just added to it. How long can this go on?

wilson might not be the quickest young driver in the british isles but he is one of the quickest. and he will be even quicker on the gravel its the other drivers in the B team that should be re-considered!!

Its silly to right the lad off so soon, he has given steady if not spectacular performances on 2 of the hardest rounds of the championship, he has shown maturity beyond his age, lets see what he can do after a few loose events, he is no slouch and is more deserving than some other WRC drivers

oh no, take the rose tinted glasses off

OK. Someone then please contact Eddie Stobart and explain to him he is wasting whatever additonal money the team are paying ITV to show poor Mathew on national TV on Sunday afternoons. To save the additional cheques payable to ISC all they have to do is employ a brilliant young UK driver (as listed above). Someone who, say, is a naturally brilliant driver, comes across well on in car camera (ie not opened mouthed, al la Duval style), will produce real results, drive the door handles off anything he sits in, may i go on? Note, i do think he is a fantastic driver, but please, M-Sport surely can do better.

Give young Matty a chance. I think he has potential anyway.
Sweeden and the Monte are two very tough events and it's great to see Matthew out there gaining the experience..................

Looks like the point trying to be made here is that Matty has been thrown in at the deep end.
Take the 2 most successfully UK drivers of recent times, Colin Mc and Richard Burns, both drivers totally dominated the BRC while gaining experience of WRC on selected rounds of WRC, while also competing on Asian Pacific rounds aswell. Both ended up as world champs.

and anyway, surely you would push your own son to become world champion (something malcolm never got to achieve) rather than giving some other bugger a free ride.

he may not become world champion but at least he'll have the chance at it.

Are you totaly thick? Have you all not read the posts. Im not saying Mathew is no good. He is a brilliant rally driver. But
1. Its embarassing to see him struggle on the world stage.
2. There are better young drivers, in the UK and Eire.
