There is a junior section in Wexford, it is the last four stages on Sunday and it is limited to 40 crews. The entry fee is €200.
Another quick 1600 modified man is Derek Brennen in his mark 1 escort he dont hang around he is right up on the paceOriginally posted by Hbx
Boland wasn't in the event last year as it clashed with the recce for rally GB. Maybe with rally Ireland this year, he might give rally GB a miss and do his local event. It would be great to see him and Stevie renew their old rivalry. There's always a great battle among the modified men and a great battle is likely to rage among David James, Liam Wall, Willy Whitty, James Coleman, James Stafford and maybe another few like Terence O Shaughnessy, John Nolan, Seamus Doyle....... Plenty of tail out action!!!
Billy Collins be on the notes for Ollie Mc Phillips. Hopefully Ollie will do well in his local rally this year in the Puma 1600.Originally posted by Hbx
Very true and Billy Collins is another, always up there with the class pace setters. He done 00 last year in the Wexford single stage with his daughter Sharon on the notes and alot of the crowd were commenting back at hq how good he was to watch. John Somers and Mark Kennedy will be two more very quick fella's in the 1600 16v class.
No, he slid of the road and damaged the car, he could not continue. Hopefully he will do well in Wexford, as he had started the year well, but has had a bit of bad luck recently.Originally posted by PJ_RS1800

I can remember seein the car pulled in very early on in the first stage, was it a mechanical problem?
