There is a junior section in Wexford, it is the last four stages on Sunday and it is limited to 40 crews. The entry fee is €200.

I am almost certain it is 6 stages on Saturday and 9, i'll check it out this evening. There running 9 on Sunday as there is main field of 131.
JP Ruth you are actually correct, there is 4 stages on Saturday and 9 on Sunday.
Probably Boland and Stevie Murphy anyway......
Ray Breen Maybe.............
Ritchie Curran possibly i'd say..............
Always a few from accross the water aswell........................
Boland wasn't in the event last year as it clashed with the recce for rally GB. Maybe with rally Ireland this year, he might give rally GB a miss and do his local event. It would be great to see him and Stevie renew their old rivalry. There's always a great battle among the modified men and a great battle is likely to rage among David James, Liam Wall, Willy Whitty, James Coleman, James Stafford and maybe another few like Terence O Shaughnessy, John Nolan, Seamus Doyle....... Plenty of tail out action!!!

Another quick 1600 modified man is Derek Brennen in his mark 1 escort he dont hang around he is right up on the pace
Very true and Billy Collins is another, always up there with the class pace setters. He done 00 last year in the Wexford single stage with his daughter Sharon on the notes and alot of the crowd were commenting back at hq how good he was to watch. John Somers and Mark Kennedy will be two more very quick fella's in the 1600 16v class.

Billy Collins be on the notes for Ollie Mc Phillips. Hopefully Ollie will do well in his local rally this year in the Puma 1600.
What happened Ollie in the Stonethrowers sideways?
I can remember seein the car pulled in very early on in the first stage, was it a mechanical problem?

No, he slid of the road and damaged the car, he could not continue. Hopefully he will do well in Wexford, as he had started the year well, but has had a bit of bad luck recently.

I actually remember that corner that ollie went off on it was really slippy there, we had cautioned it on the recce as it was greasey on the recce, it wasnt too far into stage one it was only two or three mile in, was the car badly damaged??
There should be a few quick boys over from the UK, I know of 3 crews in Mk2's that really want to do the event

Stephen Murphy and Noel redmond have placed entries, while Boland in the Focus along with the Subarus of Melvyn Evans and Damian Cole are expected in the next few days. On the entertainment front, Liam Wall, David James, Willy Whitty, Gwyndaf Evans, James Coleman, Terence O' Shaughnessy all expected to make the start, along with the Nova's of Stafford, Somers and Kennedy. The rally launch takes place on Thursday, 25th of August at the Crosbie Cedars Hotel, wide screen t.v.'s with both rallying and in-car action on show. Not to be missed!
Thomas o rourke is another very quick man who will be looking for a good result on his home rally he can get insde the top 20 on a national round he will go fair hard in wexford
What`s the latest entry news then?, is there a received entries list anywhere?
