ah the spectators back in them days were an altogether hardier bunch. We would be standing so close to cars that ye could feel the heat of their engine as they went past.
Compare that to nowadays when ye would nearly need to bring binoculars to a rally to have a decent shot at seeing something. And the speeds were jst as crazy in those days.
The spectators back in thoses days were stupid is all i gotta say wathing a vid on the donegal rally the streets were packed with folk one mistake would of ment 2-3 deaths
