The Genie turning away from Fabia?

This weeks Rallynews.net has a nice quote from The Genie stating his displeasure at Skoda's customer service. He went on to say he's been invited to test '05 cars from Ford and Subaru.

Similarly, there's no guarantee of a Pierse S10 either, according to McNulty. The bills must be coming through the door now!

i think it will definitely be the Corolla. He's stated before that the Focus was just too much money.
Out of curiosity, how do all these changes effect homologation of the corolla.
I'm guessing toyota were the last people to push this through in 99 or whenever, so how that Eugeue and his team consistantly change the suspension and engine of the car.
Coming up with an extra 25hp or whatever was quoted must mean some significant changes to the engine.
toyota last homologated the corolla in 2000, rear diff cradle changes and longer rear arms, after the cork crash donnellys car recieved these mods, along with reiger suspension, wtich is more or less the same spec as an 03 focus, the type, size and shape of the struts havent changed since 2000, but like everything technology moves on and reiger have a better way of making the internals of a shock work. as for the engine perhaps new and better electronics are now available??
The little Corolla is a magic car and it will be nice to see him out in it again-stuffing it to all:)
eugene would still whip them all no matter what hes in dell boy may as well hang up the boots
mc garrity hangin up boots

HOW WRONG YOU ARE THEN RUBY,HE WILL DEFFO BE OUT NEXT YEAR TO WIN THE TARMAC C SHIP,WHICH HE QUITE POSSIBLY COULD HAVE DONE THIS YEAR BUT FOR TERRIBLE LUCK,ROLL ON NEXT YEAR TO SEE DMG AND GENIE AT IT AGAIN,EITHER WAY IT WILL BE GOOD TO WATCH !!
Truth is all the top tarmac men are a cut above, 3 or 4 seconds over a 9 mile stage is not a lot when your averaging speeds of 70mph down country lanes!
fair play to all of them
More than likely Derek will have a different co-driver next year. I was talking to his current co-driver Dermot O' Gorman a few days ago and he said his work commitments are too much to commit to a full season so he might do a few select events with Michael Barrable instead
DMG for the win next year.

How much more Horsies can be got out of that Corolla before it becomes a dragster spec car?
