Im just letting all know that a lot of work has been done this year to make the rally the best in 25 years! with all new stages that have been described as fantastic by none other that Paul Staunton, Noel Driver,Jason Roche and Ray Green, these men have been working on the stages for weeks now assuring that wicklow is a better event this year, one of the stages has never been run before and 2 have not been used in around 20 years! so if your thinking of doing a forest rally or even coming to watch one wicklow is not that far away from anywhere! Some of the names that have been mentioned as doing 00 car on the event are Philip Shaw and Gary Keenan both in Mk2 escorts!!!! With these men and the likes of Frank Kelly,Paul Barrett and Paul Staunton The 2WD comptition should be Good to watch!!:eek: Clubmen have put this rally together for clubmen and are giving good stages with good mileage too, so come and support Wicklow this year!? Regs and entry forms are on www.rally.ie NOW!!

Sure isn't the old Glenealy stage litteraly at Stauntons back door and how many times did he get stuck/break down on it over the years.........like a famous rally driver once said "to finish first, first you have to finish" Fair play to Paul and the rest of the crew for putting in the work so we can go and enjoy the spectale of them going sideways on the loose.

If your driving is anything like your name and comment above you would beat Stonemad EASY in a Golf Buggy.
Stonemad might have actually gone better in his MkII as he is still possibly more confortable in that car, but he was winning the event before he ran out of drive.

EASY how many rallys or rallycars have you competed in ? Never saw your name at the top of the timesheets, so maybe you should hold back on the criticism of STONEMAD until you learn a bit more

You are a hero so,
Brian is a fine driver and dont tell me that other people with rallys in their own area dont have prior knowledge.
In fairness to the forestry guys it is mainly competitors that set up the stage, because Forestry rallying is still the non attractive rally in the clubs that organise the events. So the competitors are generally involved getting their hands dirty.
As regards Sore on a car, Was the Same Evo 8.5 MR not renowned for having a dodgy box.
Rory Galligan not sire on a car, but had 2 transmission failures that cost retirement last year.
Roy White, something similar.
