good luck with this if you try to do it, I'll have a go at it but most of the gamers on here don't seem to like the realism/difficulty of the best rally game on the market

shamrocket, did you ever check out the link I sent you about set ups?
I found it helped a lot, between it, learning to listen to the notes and learning to brake for corners I find I can go ok now:laugh:

i just bought the game yesterday. by god its hard and ive only unlocked a few stages. how do you unlock the rest of the cars/stages? and has anyone got any tips for more manageable driving?

im terrible at it but i gotta admit its fun! :0)

yeah david i had a look at that site- found it good but its based for the pc version and i have the playstation..i tried a few settings and they worked well but the suspension is still dire and im too lazy to keep fe cking around wit it....
like u say doe listening to the notes extremely carefully helps the game flow more..

Flat-5th gear
easy-4th
fast-3rd
medium-2nd
k-1st
i find it you stick to that with using the correct lines and braking straight you cant go wrong!

as for rally names?? well, if you want them to be based on irish events we can get an equivelant to each rally then.

i dont know the stages too well though. of course, we could just do it like they have it in the game.

Pirelli International- Willie Loughman forestry rally
Japan- Moonraker forestry rally
Finland- Galway international rally(ice there this year was unreal)
France- Shell Donegal International Rally
Austrailia- some rally with big jumps!!!!
USA- Sean Conlon Memorial forestry rally

As far as what cars we use, I think we can put the s1600 MG out of the equation as i think it would be unfair if someone was driving this against the likes of S9 etc.....

ps If anyone needs help with the set-up, I have the right man helpin me out.....me daddy, 2005 Dunlop national rally champion!!!!!!!ha!ha!

they sound ok to me. except i think the japan stages would be more like the michelstown forest rally than the moonraker (which is similiar to usa imo). but anyway.
