dont know when but i seen RPM out , on the limit sports and teh wrc camera crews. so who knows

all i know at the mo is that it will have a 6 min slot on the preview wrc show on thursday.
I asked Plum that very question on Friday night. From what I gathered he said RPM won't be making a program of it. Paddy Tyndall was doing camerawork, but for ISC. I think they are helping promote the rally in an attempt to become a WRC round.
RPM werent allowed film to transmit themselves I believe?? ISC have the rights??

Anyone confirm this??:dunno:

Surely if that was the case, RPM also wouldnt be able to use footage from Kris Meeke, Niall McShea, etc competing on the WRC, taken by ISC cameras.
They should have had a nightly 15-30 minute highlights show either on UTV or RTE paid for by the organisers.
this must be it on eurosport!

19:30 WRC Rally
World Rally Preview (20:00)
Plum was on the Motorshow on Downtown radio on Friday night. He said that he doesn't have the license to show Rally Ireland when it becomes a WRC event but can at the moment. He also says that he has to pay the ISC to cover Meek on the WRC!
So basically we are not going to see any of this event .....pathetic!!!!!!!
ISc covered the event for the WRC corsica shakedown programme. They are also compiling a promotional video. I belive Plum was asked at the last minute, but he does not have a slot.
Plum did a superb job at the start ramp on Friday evening. He is an institution.

i was chatting to plum while out marshaling he was out for a bit of craic at the weekend he's a bit like the rest of us, he does enjoy the rallies too. he told us donegal boys that he wasnt broadcasting the wrc but was taking clips, lol he even took a shot of me in my hat ( along with more or less every other photographer).
JB
silly amount, try produce a quality programme for less. It is a professional programme, carried out by professional people, at the very top in their game.
I am sure Plum would be a lot wealthier and healtheir now if he stuck with Architecture
but NO why not cover rallying, scratch a living and get knocked every oppurtunity.
Ireland is a great place.
I must reply to your comment JB in defence of RPM. Tell me a company in Ireland who could do a better job of making programs of the ITRC rounds, who have the equipment and other resources, who have an established name in quality programming, who have a good relations with a major TV channel such as UTV despite only half-hour slots at a time, and who are so well known by drivers and rally organisers alike.

My point is, you may complain about Plum, but we wouldn't have a good program of Donegal, Killarney, Galway or Cork otherwise. Infact, we might not have a program at all!
RPM is a fantastic programme, we could all find faults with it if we wanted but Plum and his team have covered the ITC excellently this year except Galway which I believe words were spoken. But RPM stepped back up to the plate and produced some even better programmes on Donegal, JCMR etc. After RTE abandoned rallying, Plum fought to get it back on our screens, do you remember the e-mail campaign to the RTE sports department, he then got TV3 on board which has led to the On the Limit Sports programmes which were at the time on TG4. We have a lot to be thankful to Plum for, he is not perfect then again no one is, and I am sure he will keep trying to improve with every programme.
