6 - 7 former champions and Rory in to mix it with them.
What a rally this is going to be and what a championship.
It is a pity only Subaru and Mitsi make the real Gp N machines, but the race will possibly be the best seen in years.
Come On Rory, I know Mark Higgins reckons Rory will be the suprise package tihs year. Lets hope he is, as well as Philip Morrow getting a chance ot showcase his talent.
The best decision the BRC has made in a long time to go Gp N as the entries show.

How can you say that when you have the best rallies in Ireland, just about every weekend with huge entry lists................
I live in Carlisle where the rally is based and I'm only going because Colin McRae is out in the Mark 2 as I certainly would'nt be watching boring Group N's on gravel!!!!

We had all this chat before F2 came in, it will be rubbish etc..........

What did we get, some of the best championship battles since the McRae & Brookes days in the 80's

It WILL be great to see all these boys out in simular cars again, what a battle.

Only problem will be when we get to the Jim Clark, how will the PR machine deal with the BRC championship leader get whipped by the Poor Wee Corolla?????

This really is shaping up to be a cracker championship. Quality rather than quantity, just what you want ;)

STE
we may have great rallys and we do, but we do not have 8 - 10 guys with a genuine chance of winning, like the pirelli next week.
Yes GP N cars can be boring but not driven hard by Higgins's, Rory, Mc Rae etc.
Going to be a great year, I hope Tapio and Alistar do more than just the pirelli, but lets just enjoy next weekend.
Sadie, as you said F2 was mega. So will a close GP N fight.
Competitive rallying, thats what the BRC is at last delivering.

As one competitor said on the Manx National... you don't appreciate how fast GpN cars are or how commited you have to be until you are in one. This came from someone who has driven WR Cars before but was out in a N4 car for the first time at the weekend.

A well driven N4 car can be just as spectacular, if not more, than an average driver or even a good driver in a WR Car.

STE volenteer an entry fee and get yourself a licence, see how many people offer you a spin, like James Cullen told me its easier to drive wrc cause you have better gearboxes and much better brakes so you dont need to carry so much speed through corners, well he should know having driven both

Any car on the limit is good to watch. A lot of egos may be shattered with so many drivers in equal cars and it looks like a great top 15 for all the rallies which is what we get in ireland
