Heard today Liam Wall and James Coleman both intend on contesting all rounds of the championship next year..

Should see lots of battles for class honours all over the country, and see how quick they can be away from home.

Anyone know of any others who intend on doing class 13 championship next year or even 14???

Real and True!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anthony O'Halloran will be defending the class 13 title. Tom Casey working on a new 2.0 16v unit for the manta for next year, also hoping to do as many rounds of the forestry championship as possible in a new 2.0 16v G3 escort budget permitting. He was on some pace in Sligo last year, top two wheel drive 10 overall.

Michael Barrable will be out in a brand new Ford Focus, prestine from Ford never rallied. I presume he's doing the National championship. He'd be my tipp for the championship. Has always been quick in any car he's driven. He''ll be like Ray, has been knocking on the door for a long time and will want to get his name on the roll of honour. Barrable for 2006 championship!

nohe tested it but taught it wasnt much better if any better than the focus...barrable is out of rallying to long and wont be on the pace straight away so will find it hard to win the champioship..not konocking him but when he was quick he always has a car better than the rest so my guess is he will struggle big time...

ah come on now Ted- thats knocking him.

But your probably right, the last time Barrable was the quickest man of the bunch he was in an UNO.

Remember when Dommie Buckley drove over his roof in Carlow that year in the old Grp A car?

No such thing, all works shells have been used, dont forget the 05 Focus was in fact a revision of 04 cars so there are not that many in existence full stop.

Unless they sold him that one out the back that they stored the hens in?

KPL is supposed to be out in a 05 focus too. We will know when we see the reg plates as there will be a year date on those.

Barrable was always on the pace wherever he went, Limerick, Cavan, Wexford, Skib, Waterford. Now when you have both a family and a large successful business, there can't be very much time to take extra lookin at stages, especially when your out every 2nd or 3rd weekend! He was always enjoyable to watch, he was fairly handbrake happy in the Celica! I reckon he's a good pilot anyway, just my opinion. Always had tasty looking cars aswell, so looking forward to seeing his focus! And I reckon it was no disgrage to finish runner up to Eugene Donnelly in the national championship in relatively similar cars.

So what's your point then? He did indeed beat Kenny. And would you not rate McKinstry as one of the greatest Irish drivers?
