there is a lot of lads on reserve there that are leading their classes in the national championship, i know the the priority doesnt come in till after the 3rd round so they will be priority for carlow and all rallies after that for the class leaders burt thats not doing them much good being on reserve for monaghan

:mad:even before the event we all heard what the monaghan club would be like for entries, its complete rhubarb.theres lads commitited to doing the whole championship now without entries,i signed up to the border and national in mayo but this doesnt seem to matter.my piont is that some competitors have an entry but are doing neither,im now leading our class but ater monaghan i could be bac to fourth or fifth, bet if u were leading the championship ud have an entry no matter who u were so that gives the two fingers to this thing about priority

Look it was first come first served, everyone knew that when the regs came out so it was up everyone to have there entry in on the monday if they wanted an entry, no point complaining now.... sure theres plenty of other rounds of the championship you can do sure havent you got a few dropped rounds anyway. I think it is a good system they use because it gives people a chance to get an entry who might otherwise never get a run because they havent the money to be out every weekend gettin results and doing championships which is the system most clubs use.

Well said, good oppertunity for people who struggle to get entries.
First come first served is a great idea

I would have thought the whole reason that rallies like Monaghan were in the Dunlop Championship was to have national championship competitors. If they want to operate under their own rules and stick two fingers up to registered competitors whats the point in being in the championship.

I accept we were late with our entry but we were told in mayo entries would be posted to registered competitors, three of the top five gpn cars in class 4 not getting out.Carlow entries not on first come first served basis

Dont be using the excuse that entries were supposed to be posted, that day is long gone if you want regs now its up to yourself to download them and print them off, the regs for monaghan were on the net long before they opened as well so no excuses.

I wasnt meant to be sitting so i didnt chase it up earlier but can you understand competitor frustration when this happens.

If Monaghan were using the net to release regs, instructions and so forth, then they will have been well aware that both Stafford and Kelleher are intending on doing the full championship as both crews had press releases after the opening rounds so there should be no reason why these two crews at least should have been left out. Staffords opening press release even comes up on the dunlop championship info tab on rally.ie.
