Its starting to look a bit more hopefull that McRae might get a drive with Skoda for 2006 after getting a drive with them in for Australia?

Who are Skodas other options or what?

skoda don't even know if they will competing next year.

I spoke to ambramovich today and they will not know until next Thursday if they will have the budget.

He says he may decide to spend the money on Chelsea instead after Tuesday nites humiliation.
McRae Coming back will be a big bonus for the sport! Hopefully with him there it will help draw other manufacturers into the WRC... Its seriously needed!! I recon that if he gets a decent result the team will be back next year better and bigger than before due to mcraes knowledge and feedback on the car.. He will be #1 driver for them also!
Hopefully if he gets a seat he might be able to pull a few strings for Meeke. I'd be worried that Citroen/Kronos mightn't be too keen to keep him. They were pretty outspoken when he binned it in Corsica.
The amount of Drives next year in the WRC is limited. The WRC needs McRae to get the excitment back into it..........

No disrespect to Kris but he's thrown away a few good opportunties this year and he really should have won the JWRC if he had curbed his enthusiasm a wee bit but as anihel said to me last week, Vatanen and McRae were prone to silly mistakes and look what happened them!
FLAT MAN!

Yes mc crae is a spectacle to watch flat everywhere!
hes badly missed out of the WRC. imagine its 10 years since he won his world championship. No one ever thought that it would be his only one...He's still got a few years left in him
Can i just point out once again! these things happen in rallying! crashes are crashes! Luck is luck! everybody gets their fair share of it! If he was going to win it then he would have!

Its a matter of this, McRae had more crashs than anyone when he started and even during his career, so there is a lot of hope for Meeke. He has the speed.
McRae started his career in a different era, today cash talks and if you have some talent great, Kris has speed, unfortunately he has to compete with the likes of Sordo who also has speed but has shown great maturity on his 1st year at JWRC and as their team boss pointed out hadnt scratched the car all year.
I hope someone gives Kris the chance to move up next year, his drive on GB was great, but to be honest if I was a team boss he wouldnt be the 1st driver I'd be calling
and sordo has the financial backing of his government (somewhere in the region of €600,000 for the past 2 years)
and the government here boosted rallying by giving Ronan Morgan and his free loaders something like €600,000 to stay in plush hotels and swally all weekend, whilst Niall McShea and Meeke struggle to show their true talent
yeah, colin is past it. Meeke is vv good but really needs to sort his head out. Sordo is sooo good. Meeke started 2005 on top form and should have carried it thro. Just look at the sprinter standings. Brill driver but serious head problems. Like when he went off in the dust, totally uneccesary. Maybe it was the change in co-driver. Maybe pressure, We will never know.
Dont forget sordo done two champs in his car this year so far more miles than meeke!!
if meeke had a spainish passport he'd be in a wrc by now;)
well put abe 1 2 whatevers next.

Britain does not support anything - unless you are an illegal immigrant with 5 wives and 23 kids.

Then you can get 300 grand a year.

I apologise to any Dungannon Portugese reading this post. I do not wish to cause any more offence to ye, you foreign b astards
That is crazy! How can anyone compete with that........
McRae is all washed up and is hardly a magnet to the WRC for manufacturers. He has had his day and I cannot see what all the fuss is about. Do people really believe if he is back in the WRC it will make it more interesting to watch, will make more makers build cars and put in entries. What utter rubbish. As far as I am concerned-Colin McRae-SO WHAT!
