Mayo & District Motorsport Club wishes to advise that due to printing difficulties, there has been delay in issuing regulations for the 2006 Mayo Stages Rally. Regs will now be posted to competitors on this Friday, January 20th.
As a result the opening date for accepting entries has been changed to Wednesday, January 25th, 2006. The last date for receipt of applications is, as previously advised, Friday, February 10th 2006.
Mayo & District Motorsport Club advises that it does not operate a ‘first come first served’ policy, and that all entries received before the closing date will receive equal consideration.

Details of the 2006 Mayo Stages Rally have been announced by Mayo & District Motorsport Club.
The opening round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship as well as the first round of the Quinn Group Border Rally Championship, the Mayo Stages Rally will take place this year on March 5th, 2006.
The 2006 Rally will once again be based in the county town of Castlebar. Mayo & District Motorsport Club is delighted to announce that the TF Royal Hotel and Theatre Castlebar will return as title sponsor for the third successive year following successful events in 2004 and 2005. The club is indebted to Pat Jennings and his staff at the TF for their continued support.
Clerk of the course for 2006 is Sean McHugh, while Margaret McGreal is Secretary of the Event. Sean, from Bekan near Claremorris returns to the helm for the third year. A well known competitor and official on many events, Sean has devised a challenging route that will test competitors to the limit over some of the best rallying territory in the country.
2006 sees Mayo & District Motorsport Club (formerly known as Ballina Motor Club) celebrate its 30th anniversary, and the club is looking forward to a successful Stages Rally on March 5th to celebrate 3 decades of motorsport in Mayo in style!
Regulations for the 2006 Mayo Stages Rally will be available from Monday January 16th. Entries are accepted from Monday, January 23rd, with last date for receipt of completed applications being Friday, February 10th. Regulations will be posted automatically to all registered National and Border Championship competitors from 2005, as well as to all competitors on the 2005 Mayo Stages Rally. Regs can be obtained by contacting Event Secretary Margaret McGreal on 087 2165028 (after 8 pm), or will be available for download in pdf format from the club website from Saturday, January 21st.
