I am Reading all these comments on here and i am thinking om my god

Me and Chef Guy and 10 other people Have Been Out at All The

Tarmac Championship
Dunlop National
NI Foresty
And Any Other Single Stages

We Go Out 4 the Crack And If they Payed 4 accom and give u 20 Euro Or Sterling Instead Of a meal So That U Can Decide Yourself were 2 go because the meal that was supllied at sligo it 4 rally ireland u wouldnt have give it to the tinkers

I am A Co.Driver and have met Mr T and Chef Guy And Their Team In Donegal to Cork they are the best of crack i think there is 20 or 30 in their group if u are at their corner u will know it to get back to the point.

I was Chatting To Mr T and Chef guy at rally ireland
they were at the harvest there the week before

Mr T Said that he was DSC 4 Stage 2 and that him and SC was out all day fri and all night Setting up is that not decidcation or wat every week they would be out setting up or marshaling and then out 2 days setting up the stage at the forest at garrison

Watch Out 4 Them At a Junction Near u

hey its me chefguy, i must addmit i have been to nearly evry rally this year and was the first marshal to get the motorsport rallying jacket after doing 5 events. i put alot of work into college and into my job, but im out at rallying to have a bit of craic, fun and enjoyment. our lads go with us hail, rain or snow donegal marshals here we go. ppl are taking the fun out of rallying, marshals deserve to be treated with respect not just from spectators but also the higher ranking ppl. i love rallying and the craic, so come on help us. be there and vote that marshals should be treated better? even the stage commanders arent treated rite come on stand up and fight for our motorsport!!!:)

as for me being a chef i had to get up and leave my meal in sligo, i was disguisted. the chicken wasnt cooked rite and the meals were outrageous. for 8 yrs i have been a marshal i have great fun and look forward to a slap up meal afterwards. it was a slap alrite a slap across the face.

If Ireland Is Going To Get a wrc to Ireland Move Away From Sligo The Hotel Was Shite no Crack About It

Take It To Donegal Or Up The North

We Look Forward To A Fri Or Sat Geting To a Rally

About Taking Marshals From Hedges It Happens And Nobody Will Be Able To Stop It until People Come Out To Marshal
That Means Everybody

Rallies Will Need Marshals 4 Ever

good god it was s hit it really was. id hate to be a student there in teh sligo IT if thats the dinner you would get :barf::barf::barf::barf: i had the soup and had to stop, i had one look at the pasta and just said O MY GOD. i wouldent even give that to my dog
i eat a peace of bread and butter:barf:

I was out setting up and marshalling on the first and last stage on saturday, we got an excellent meal during the day in the hotel in Dromahair village, But the meal, we got when we returned after 16 or 17 hours on the go, in sligo was atrocious! The meal voucher was valid for 14 euro, I would have been alot happier if I was handed 14 euro and go down town, than the plate of muck i got in the I.T.

Because Rally Ireland is being run by MI,if it were to be NI based it would be an MSA event,and the MSA already run a round of the WRC.
And what's wrong with it running down South anyway???There are a hell of a lot more counties in Ireland than Sligo,Donegal and "the north" as you call it.

Marshals were in plentiful supply...even for such a dour weekend. I was deputy stage commander on 1&3 on Saturday and 9 & 12 on Sunday and it was great to see so many marshals at the meeting points.
This,of course brought it's own problems in the sense that the club running the event had bargained on "x" amount of marshals as per the safety plan and supplied marshal meal packs for that amount(you know the one I mean,the mars bar, the sandwich and the bottle of Coke).
However,because MORE than what was on the safety plan turned up I know that a number of marshals on the stage did not receive these lunch packs.
I don't know how strongly people feel about the lunch pack issue,and I know that experienced people always bring their own anyway but if you have come up from Wexford and are staying in a hotel the night before the rally then you're not going to have a packed lunch and the flask etc and the lunch pack becomes vital.
I don't know what the answer is but I do know that some went without.
Don't know what the food was like either because I live in Cork and went home both evenings after we finished.
Left home at 5.15 am on Saturday Morning and 7.00 am on Sunday.
