Just wondering if anyone else heard the interview Downtown Radio did with KPL on Friday night. By the sounds of things this year will be his last one in rallying. He says he only got into rallying to promote the business and he has achieved that. He will only be appearing on selected events next year. It will be a shame if he packs it in after such a short period of time as he was still improving.

it would be a real shame if lynch was to pack it in -after all hes got alot of support now that he didnt have before

I glad to see that all true fans are now giving lynch the support he deservs (dont get me wrong Im no lynch ass kisser) I just think he is is one of the best drivers in the country at the minute - too many people are so busy shouting for eugene that everyone else gets overlooked!

There are still the usual begrudgers who will slate him out of jealousy -the guy may have money, he may have went to expensive rally schools (what top irish driver hasnt!) but he has the skill to make use of the budget and if his back holds up I know who my money is on for rally ireland!

Lets hope he continues as he has been a great addition to the scene over the last few years

Maybe Kevin said that on the radio because he thought the Taxman was listening? After all, if the enormous funds that he has spent these past two years have come from the company, he'd better start claiming some sort of advertising benefit!

Whatever he drives, he'll be class.

It is nice to see the Focus coming to the fore in Irish Tarmac rallying after so many years of Subarus. Just hope it dosen't become the car that everyone want to drive as it will just be all Fords instead of Subarus.

Three Focus WRCs already, now four-anyone else getting one?

I remember reading an interview with Lynch in Pacenotes about maybe a year and a half ago and he said the main reason he got into the sport was to promote the business...........
I hadn't really much time for him back then to be honest, seemed to me he didn't have the passion for the sport like everyone else and was just using the sport for his own ends.........
The past 18 months have really changed my opinion of him big time, the amount of events he competed in last year, and won, showed that he really does have a lot of talent, and fantastic commitment aswell, along with a big budget, a great all around package!!!!
If he is planning on cutting down next year, I would love to see him commiting to just the ITC. If he were appearing on all the rounds of that he would add to the championship big time in my opinion.....look at his times in Donegal 04, Galway and Killarney 05!!!!
