Looks like a gorgeous yoke!!!

Not sure about the wheels but other than that it looks like a very very tidy car!!

Are the clocks from a Mondeo?

Imagine if it was able to beat a wrc car:whistle:

Hope to see it on stages soon!

Just one question. Why go to all the trouble of building the Fubaru (Ford - Subaru)? It would want to be significantly faster than the Subaru that it is based on to go to all the trouble of building it.

I am not bashing the quality of the work or anything, but in a sport where speed is everything, is it faster than a Subaru??

should this type of car be allowed to compete its a long way from an escort how safe would it be in the case accident after all its a subaru in escort shell that was made thirty years ago.how well would a thirty year old shell take a high speed impact at 2006 subaru speeds ?

Good Mk2 Shells if built properly take heavy impacts at subaru speeds just fine.

Lovely looking motor, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh

Just to put you straight on one thing its not based on an Escort shell but a Subaru Legacy shell as John says himself with a mk 2 escort overcoat. Ive seen it at various stages of the build and its fantastic machine, a lot of GpA impreza running about 750kg with 300BHp on i think its Riger suspesion. Should go very well

Not much difference between escort speeds and subaru speeds these days.

Hope it goes well for him.

People are saying here that it could be a waste of time if its not quicker than an escort or subaru?? Or should it be allowed compete?? Shite!! There will always be begrudgers.

Maybe the man is not interested in winning??

Maybe he just enjoys driving a car fast and when its something he built himself from scratch its more satisfying

I take my hat off to him, he set himself a challenge, a new goal in mk2 escort prep and he succeeded, fair play.

playing devils advocate on this but modern rally cars are designed using fairly serious analysis on computer before tubes ae ever cut.

Modern production shells have millions invested to pass crash laws. WRCs are crash tested before homologation, not sure about junior cars nd gpN cars.

Metals, tubing and welds have a funny way of reacting under loads, not just a case of putting tubes where they look good anymore.

Would think MSI will be lookg at all these things before they they give go ahead or not
