Yeah, thought I heard that too. My car is geared to 109mph on the limiter in fifth and it's quick enough (for me) for most stages.

149.9mph must feel well quick.

How do they work the boost at 9,000 rpm? I know the bottom-end would be well able to handle it, but I thought turbos didn't like revs overly?

We were standing at that section where he was going 150 and to be honest, it didn't think it was 150 but then again when have I stood metres away from a car doing that kind of speed ;)
looked amazing-RPM camera work good too-
The man's a lunatic...a very talented one too.
eugenes in car was unreal-the big slide on the gravel section was crazy!!! and when you think about it he only had to finish 8th but he chose to keep her lit all the way, true rally star*

did ye see liam mccarthys crash? it was i who sent that one in!!!
i was delighted i got a mention after all these years of watching the programme_thanks rpm:)
In the Cork 20 the stages were so fast that Donnelly felt he was losing time on the flat out stuff so Derek McGeehan raised the rev limiter on Eugene’s Corolla to 9000. This was in an effort to get more speed, but is way above the normal level for a turbo engine. Derek also said that the car had done about 800 stage miles and will need a rebuild after the event.
149.9 MPH
what a speed down them roads my god 50mph feels fast down them road just think of doing an extra 100mph on top of that.

the program was great looks like they bought a few more kurb cameras as most of the camera work was them.(witch is class). felt that the camera work by the men was a bit crap. you can notice there the different men at each place. there was one who was zooming in and out and couldent get the whole car (not good) while there was one who got some really good shots..
great show. plum fight for an hour next year. even if it has to be after midnight.
150mphg in a big executive car on a motorway is hairy stuff that i have sat with but that speed on a bak road is just unreal! he is a legend
lets us know anto, would be interested in buying that
ANTO-WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO BUY OFF RPM?
nope, any one know any emails they have allready sent that were replyed to?
