oh my god...have you even been to a rally never mind see what a rally car does for example, bang and flame form exhaust caused by the antilag......wake up ladOriginally posted by hanbidge
Not sure if this is true or not but I heard that Pacenotes has a Picture of Genes Corolla from the Galway Rally and there is a big flame coming from the exhaust. Is this normal?
You're right. Thats why naturally aspirated cars will do it too. Turbo cars do it more so as a result of the anti-lag, because fuel's injected into the exhaust to keep the turbo spinning at a high rpm!Originally posted by gee
from the best of my knoledge and i stand corrected but because the air is shut off by lifting off the throttle and due to there still being a tad of fuel goin through the cylinders into the exhaust it will ignite with the extreme temps the exhaust will be at and hence a flame!
Maybe you were asking a genuine question and thats fair enough but with all the S*** at the minute it might have been better to ask "Can flames come out of rallycars". There is alot of people on here anti-Donnelly and if he walked sideways they would question if it was legal.Originally posted by hanbidge

nah ! that's clearly a secret exhaust from the 2nd engine in the back of the car..
