Some of the recently replaced Astras had electrical problems but also some didn't, a case of hit and miss.
Do opel astras blow there engines......

some of the 98/99 astras had massive trouble with the standard head gasket.. instead of recalling them though they just let them go until they gave up and when your car was being fixed they replaced the h.g with a different one.. at least i think thats the story any way..
