An interview with Walter Mitty nav_rallysport
Q:"So Neil what do you do for a living?" A:"I work for my fathers Fork Lift truck company, aye all the big stuff 10 tonners upwards ,steel stock holders, shipyards etc,we are always in competition with Barry Groundwater up here in Aberdeen, undercutting each other, bet Barry and I get on very well"
Real answer ,Neil Has been unemployed for several months and his Father has never owned a company and is retired from the oil industry.
Q:"Rallying is expensive ,you must of spent a few bob in the last few years?"A:"Aye last year I spent £30k of my own money,I always pay the entry fees and fuel as I know how expensive it is to run a car"
Real answer,Neil has left debts were ever he has rallied and owes several drivers money,as for fuel ,his stock pile of Race fuel in Aberdeen is non existant and is always with a courier firm.
Q:"So Neil with all your experience what type of pace notes do you prefer?A: "Numbers allday easy to read and write"
Real answer ,Neil cannot read or write any notes, and stuggles with the English language .
Q:"Which rally cars do you prefer?" A:WRC Sean my regular Driver from Ireland has a WRC Escort and its quick,I also like Subarus as I have an Impreza Turbo road car"
Real answer,he sat in a WRC car once ,and he dosen't own a road car.
Q:"What equipment would you recommend to take on a rally"A:"Not a lot those trip things arent needed, maybe just a stopwatch and a pen"
Real answer Neil cant use a trip, his stopwatch is a bedside clock (digital) his pen got lost under his seat, but he did retreive his pen when he found the roadbook that he lost under the seat for two stages.
This is an insight into the mad world of Neil Foulkes ,his father has asked me to post this information on the internet ,on as many sights as possible,as he has had enough of him,Neil was last seen in Edinburgh, but has since dissapeared.I could write alot more ,most of it is unbelievable, and I hate typing,I hope this helps someone else from being stiched up!!! Colin

I did wonder if Neil would appear on here anymore.

Before Jersey and as most of you that read the Jersey thread will read that I helped Neil sort out flights which just meant i went on the pc and found the flights and told him what days the flights would be and when he would come back.

Neil phoned me and said he could not get a flight on one of the other days, so I found another date which he later booked as he had a big meeting to attend and his father was telling him he had to make as it was vital to the company

Neil phoned me a good few times as I will help anyone when and where I can with regards to accomodation on Jersey.

He also told me his rally history which included knowing Colin above and his car which he sent me pic (which Colin confirmed he sent him).

What Colin has said above I can verify as Neil told me the majority of what was written.

while over in Jersey I met Neil at Service and introduced myself and he thanked me for helping him with the bits and peices for this rally.

While at the Rally party in the Merton Hotel Neil appeared and we had a chat and a drink then we (myself and my partner) went and did our own thing as we met up with rally friends.

On the Monday night I received a phonecall from Neil at our hotel room telling me he had a problem with the flight on the Sunday after the rally as the flight was cancelled and he was there with Colin who was kicking off, this turned out not to be true as Colin wasn't at the airport at all.

Neil asked if he could come up to our hotel as he was staying at one in St Helier and I told him myself and my partner where going for a meal but he was welcome to join in the hotel bar later which he did and told me all about his rally career lol.

a few days after the rally myself and Colin spoke on the phone where we told each other both our sides of the Neil Foulkes story.

I will help anyone like I did with Graham Henderson get a ride for the Jersey rally, but I am glad I never got Neil the seat with Colin as Neil made out him and Colin where good friends.

Neil if you ever read this please dont contact me ever again as its bloody disrespectful of you to treat people and lie to them that help you and give you the chance to co drive and information about the rally.

Colin, did you ever find out when he did get off the island and did you get sorted with his father.

Myself meeting Neil in service (which my mate Ross from Captured Motorsport took the pic for his site)

On the run up to the Ulster Rally he was non-stop talking about the Ulster Rally and how excited he was looking forward to it, then in the end he didn't even show up... He left the driver (Mark McElwee) high and dry.

With stories like the first post, is it any wonder that he is banned off the british rally forums !

I cannot understand why someone would lie their way through rallying as surely one day you will be seen on events and the rest will be crash bang wallop.

The good thing now about forums is its easier to get a ride with people, and the good thing that Colin has done now warns drivers stuck for Navs shouldn't get ****ed over by this guy and people like him

I do not get this, he told me he worked in Carbon Fibre, he built race tubs for GP2 and made up special one off pieces for rally cars. I even spoke to him on the phone about carbon, at the time I did think it was strange he did not know the name of the carbon oven he was using, but thought nothing more of it as he had some pausible answers on other questions.
So he never owned a carbon fibre company
Never owned a Forklift company.
What did he do?

Being 100% honest when i first say the 1st post i seriously taught it was another double poster starting something, but after sussing out more found out this indeed to be true.. i know i should'nt be but i'm in shock that someone wud come on a public forum & basically lie through he teeth continueiously he's prob seating in a pub boasting as to wats he's said on here, having a good laugh aswell...wat he's done has sickened me to my core, he's a conman end of story, and watever rally "career" he had is over full stop ( unless he learns french, goes on their forum does the exact same there), i think rallycols sud spill the whole story too.

The only single seater stuff he told me was that his cousin does Hillclimbs.
I don't whether to beleive this as the rest of the ******** hes told now tallies up[/quote

His mate Graeme wight jr does the hillclimbs, he has been the brittish hillclimb champion, builds his own racing cars and uses carbon fibre, wee Neil helps him by putting the sarter motor up the **** of the car. and is no way Graeme is related to that we bull******r.
We all know wee Neil and tbo hes a nae bad wee lad, we just know when not to listen. He is a top class story teller, I had heard he is now a dad, twins, and they have the same names as Graemes twins!!!! we are just waiting for the head wetting, I`m sure that once he has asked us to go, he will invite all his friends on here aswell.
Really though, to trust someone you dont know and to arrange things with out money up front, bit silly really......
