An interview with Walter Mitty nav_rallysport
Q:"So Neil what do you do for a living?" A:"I work for my fathers Fork Lift truck company,aye all the big stuff 10 tonners upwards ,steel stock holders,shipyards etc,we are always in competition with Barry Groundwater up here in Aberdeen,undercutting each other,bet Barry and I get on very well"
Real answer ,Neil Has been unemployed for several months and his Father has never owned a company and is retired from the oil industry.
Q:"Rallying is expensive ,you must of spent a few bob in the last few years?"A:"Aye last year I spent £30k of my own money,I always pay the entry fees and fuel as I know how expensive it is to run a car"
Real answer,Neil has left debts were ever he has rallied and owes several drivers money,as for fuel ,his stock pile of Race fuel in Aberdeen is non existant and is always with a courier firm.
Q:"So Neil with all your experience what type of pace notes do you prefer?A: "Numbers allday easy to read and write"
Real answer ,Neil cannot read or write any notes, and stuggles with the English language .
Q:"Which rally cars do you prefer?" A:WRC Sean my regular Driver from Ireland has a WRC Escort and its quick,I also like Subarus as I have an Impreza Turbo road car"
Real answer,he sat in a WRC car once ,and he dosen't own a road car.
Q:"What equipment would you recommend to take on a rally"A:"Not a lot those trip things arent needed,maybe just a stopwatch and a pen"
Real answer Neil cant use a trip,his stopwatch is a bedside clock (digital) his pen got lost under his seat,but he did retreive his pen when he found the roadbook that he lost under the seat for two stages.
This is an insight into the mad world of Neil Foulkes ,his father has asked me to post this information on the internet ,on as many sights as possible,as he has had enough of him,Neil was last seen in Edinburgh,but has since dissapeared.I could write alot more ,most of it is unbelievable,and I hate typing,I hope this helps someone else from being stiched up!!! I was going back a few of his posts and he was on about doing a few ITC events with a fella called Gerard Sharkey from Donegal who rallies a N2 Civic but I am not sure if he went ahead wit hit or something ...

He worked as a Panel Beater not in his fathers forklift company !

he told gerard that his sister died in school playground,dropped dead,thats why he could not come to do donegal

Hi Neil glad to see you online again,this problem will NOT go away,I know so much about you,I can trace you anytime ,one thing you must do is contact your family,I have spoken to them at length and they are worried about you,but as stated before you cannot hide.

Yep entry fee and fuel,part of the reason why I chose to do the Jersey rally,was that he was paying for these.

As I stated before he said he had been involved in a spectator fatality on an event,which was a total lie .There might be a co-driver fatality sooner rather than later but not on a rally!!

its true alan ,gerard told me himself,he did not know him at all,thats the phone call he got,what can you say to a co-driver when he gives you that excuse.must tell him about this craic,he,d lucky escape

That is unreal, claiming to be involved in a spectator fatality and then saying his sister died, no one in their right mind would/could say anything like that. His dad is right to be concerned, very concerned they should seek out medical help for the chap, being serious they are probably the worst lies I think I have ever heard in my life and they cannot come from a straight thinking individual.

he rang me a few times but have to say he sounded ok,he,d plenty of knowledge about rallying in all corners of irl and uk.top drivers and the like.and money was no problem.im suprised at all this .no wonder his family is worried and if he,s reading this he should contact them.a good talk some times can really help,and sometimes family members would love to have that opportunity before its to late

I would be interested in your car, if you can send me details of it and a price then i will get back to you. when you say f2's are expensive, how expensive do you mean . im spending ruffly 22k a seasion at the mo with the WRC Cosworth and its just geting out of hand so im thinking of selling it and finding a cheaper form of motorsport but just give me a ruff idea of cost and i will think about it

I think its fairly clear now that the lad is'nt well,i recieved many a pm from him mainly giving out to me, the 1st thing he sud do as said is contact he's family, then make efforts to make rite the wrongs he's done by paying back all the money asap, maybe then take up golf or something all that ******** wud fit in perfectly with some of golfers out there...rallycols i hope you get wats due to you along with the other...neil if you read this in the future pack in the rallying lad your not in the league for it, rallying is about makin friends too, you've made too many enemys in this to continue.

Classic Nav response, only on the British Forum his brother was a champion boxer who was already hunting down various rally drivers to smash them up for bad mouthing him.

The last thing I remember him saying before he was banned was that all the bad mouthing of him had put him right off rallying and that day (so much happened in one day!) he'd been offered a test in a circuit racer with a top team. According to Neil the 'top' team he tested with were so impressed they claimed he was the next Lewis Hamilton or words to that effect!

And thus he vanished into the ether...........until he found this forum it would appear.

I feel really sorry for you Colin that you weren't in the know last christmas when Nav was digging his hole. I hope you get some compensation be it financial or the satisfaction of taking him down a peg or two by whatever means befalls him!

He contacted 1 of my drive`s this year and said he would pay for a full tarmac championship so he could sit in needless to say it did not happen.he is a person really in need of help or he will end up in the gutter.i hope colin gets something back after all this grief,and he contacts his family the stupid child he is.

Mark, I don't think he was banned on the BRF in the first instance. He asked to have the bad mouthing thread deleted, then cam back saying 'sod you all, i'll take my money (if there ever was any from what i read on here and other forums) and take up circuit racing. he then contacted the mods asking for his username to be deleted as he was leaving. But If i remember correctly he re registered the next day or something and kept peeking in to threads etc albeit it invisible (he found a way to hide the fact he was on the forum) so the mods banned his IP.

From what i read of the chap he seems very unstable. promising money all over the place, constant lies of I'm brilliant, I've sat with the best blah blah, then when a bad result comes for established drivers and they call his skills into question suddnely they are a shite driver, the car wasn't set up properly and so on. I hope this thread and the thread on the BRF at least highlight the issues to the chap himself, if not the powers that be to maybe step in (if they can??). There is even talk of various drivers being contacted by 3rd parties to buy neils debts from them. If it's got to this point the guy may need his boxing champion brother to save his knee caps.

On a lighter note. It seems every festive season a neil foulkes thread starts, makes the short days very intersting i must say.

Neil has just rung me and we have had a very long conversation,he will be posting on Brtishrally forum and maybe here,he has faced up to his wrong doings ,and his post will explain a few things ,thanks Colin
