I recon, James M Stafford, Terrance O'Shaughnasey, Mark Kennedy, Colin O Toole, Seamus O'Grady, John Stafford, Barry Meade, Columba Henna, Paul Purtill & Paul Cullen
would agree with Columba Henna he is one donegal man that is genuinely quick
Alcorn is far quicker than henna, not only did he win the single stage, finish 4th overall in manx national, 1st 1600 and quicker that gallagher etc on stages, was 3rd in circuit national until broken wheel.

He is on eof the top along with peter wilson
read my first post again kit car all of it

Down south we recon, Columba Henna is da man to beat up north!!!
Alcorn is definitely the quickest.. Your man Conlon from Monaghan & Terence O'Shaugnaesy are very quick too.
Ken O Neill
Brian O Mahony
Peter Wilson
Andrew Bushe
Owen Murphy

no particular order but I think these guys can stand up and be counted anywere they go, not just north or south etc
Murphy is one I missed out on, he would definately be in my top 3, he can steer anything and has been very unlucky in the 206 cup this year. The Sunbeam he had in Killarney was very underpowered and he was literally driving the stones off it going up the gap and thru ballaghbemma, I never witnessed anything like it! Also in the irish woods, he's been driving a converted night nav car and the times he manages to put up are unreal. Like I said before there's a rake of others, John Somers, Aidan Bourke, Peter Wilson, Conlon, Jason Ryan, Seamus O' Grady, tis really hard to judge.
Another few to be mentioned Enda O'Brien, Seamus Murphy and Derek Brennan.
alcorn definitely is alot lot quicker than henna. no doubt.
Tight things to be saying bout alcorn n recce'n, he wasn't in the isle of man cos he was on the beer 24/7 and he was still able to set quicker times than Paul Gallagher. Henna is quick but Paul Reid was beating him in sligo juniors first time out in a car.

O. Murphy is seriously quick but seems to take big chances and as a result has a lot of bother with punctures etc.

Eamon McElvaney another one to add to that list.
Peter Wilson or Seamus O Grady have impressed me any time I have seen them on a stage, O Grady goes well hard in a soft enough car, pity he hasnt had better luck and Wilson is just pure class in a Civic, any man that can go to Donegal and beat the local Civic men can drive
what about James Flynn in the civic in the forestry championship

Agree 100% Annie but you'll have to remove Paul Cullen since he's moved up to the 306 or will the Fiesta be a little flyer when it hits the stages ;)

Gonna get me head chopped off for this but Darren Gass is another

And what about Keith Power, Paul Mulcahy, Mick Hally.....theres too many quick 1600 drivers to list
