    Default Finland 2019

Been some rally day one, crazy close times, and the amount of times drivers have did the exact same stage time has been crazy, especially after 20km stages. top 7 drivers finishing stages within a second of each other. Craig the leading Hyundai driver with the super special to go, he has drove very well indeed for being away from the wrc for so long. Kris driving excellent too, and back up to 2nd. Bodes well for an excellent weekend of rallying. These cars on these roads are awesome.

disappointing for Kris to go out after another fastest time, and just 0.6 secs off the lead. rock breaks his suspension but latvala gets away with just ripping the bodywork off and smashing the wheel after hitting a rock on same stage. Luck never changes for kris. Craig doing a fantastic job, with ironically his main problem is he cant get used to how good the car is in the ruts ! few wee digs towards citroen along the way Tanak is just on a different level to the rest at the minute, he can just punch in a mega time at will when he needs to.

Been an excellent weekend for Craig & Paul so far, been very competitive despite being away for so long & only second event in the car. 6secs behind a 6 time world champion & 20secs ahead of championship contender & No.1 driver in the same car.

As for Kris, unfortunately a few inches off line is all it takes.... Think JML actually hit the same rock

Yeh, just read that it was indeed the same rock, and seen a photo that seb marshall took of it. unreal bad luck again. Really got to admire Craig & Paul, to be trading times with ogier in a car he has virtually just jumped into, and it being a big difference to the shed of C3 he was used to, is very impressive. Has surely shown that he is more than worthy of a competitive seat in the WRC

Another rock, on the inside of a corner this time. But your exactly right, should have been getting that yaris to the powerstage. Having seen the footage, he has the front of the car well dipped into the ditch taking the corner. Probably a bit of a poor line, especially knowing that a rock in a ditch ended your day yesterday. Brilliant event for craig and paul, and nice words after he took a penalty to let neuville go ahead. Has done his stock the power of good this weekend.

What a great event, shame about Meeke. Most fun I've had at a rally.

    Got some pictures here:
