From the Jersey Evening Post.
JERSEY RALLY organisers are expecting a high-class entry list for 2017 as they prepare to combine the two-day event with the final round of the RAC Historic Asphalt Rally Championship.
Now in its 35th year and backed by new sponsors Roberts Garages, the rally will mark the end of the national series on 13 and 14 October and new committee chairman Mick Cotillard expects a full quota of cars to tackle the twists and turns of Island roads.
Up to 90 entrants can be catered for, with a number of overseas-based drivers already announcing their intention to make the trip across the Channel.
‘It [hosting a Championship event] is good for Jersey’s name and it’s another bow to the Island’s sporting history,’ said Cotillard. ‘We’re going to end up with more top overseas cars for sure.'
