Be a big difference in road conditions running 1st to running 40th on the road though?
Look at the S2000 pace when Breen & Fisher have been out in Ireland before, then the step up in pace for the top 2 or 3 drivers, and I dont think its a massive shock?

It may not be a massive shock but its quite surprising - the works boys must be on some pace, when was the last time you saw someone take 48 seconds out of donnelly in 15 miles? or 26 out of Gass? Dont think Loeb/Sordo/Hirvonene were taking that time out of our boys back in 07.
You have to remember Gass, Eugene and Kenny are all in relatively old machinery, even if they are wrc cars. They are 8 to 12 year old cars. Back in Rally Ireland day they were all in much newer equipment. And as mentioned above it can't help running so far down the field.
What about Frank Kelly lying 5 overall in the national amazing drive in the conditions when you hear the top men on about how slippy it is on rally radio. It was also mentioned on the radio at the end of a stage Andreas didnt stop at passage control to hand in time cards
When you combine Frank kelly times and put the national and international times together Frank is 15th overall amazing driving look at what is behind him in terms of machinery
and look what he is driving a car that ways im guessing about 850-900kg and is over 300 bhp, he is probably in better machinery than a lot of the cars behind him apart from it being rwd. The difference is most of the boys behind him wouldnt be able set the car up or drive it like Frank can the man can pedal
Guys I was marshalling on this stage and we were told it was due to medical attention being required by one of the residents. And as this was the priority the organisers had no option but to cancel the stage.
In the F2 days Kenny was in a works Seat Ibiza it had somewhere of about 30-40 bhp less than the Renault Robbie was in and Robbie had been driving his car for a season with a lot of testing all adds up as well.
1997 Ulster Rally it was nearly sure Kenny had problems on that rally anyone know?

Who realy gives a monkeys why or how ss5 was cancelled stages get cancelled in rallys every weekend, can't believe there's people making a big deal over what is small issue within a grand scheme of things !
Think Podge means on this event! Technically I'd say yes. He's registered and because this is a national event there'll be no problem scoring points in the Corolla? Can anyone confirm?
