Take out Argentina and Australia and you have ten european rounds in 2008, so its not a hard year for the teams to travel. Ireland could be snowy in January, should be fun!!

Seriously, bravo / John Sheedy/JRMOTORSPORT whatever your name is.....we get it, you heard a rumour that Carlow are in trouble......
Several threads have been started and subsequently deleted on the subject, and now you are trying to hi-jack other threads with it.....

I have not heard this rumour anywhere else except on this forum , that does nt mean to say that it is true or not but your incessant posting on the subject is not helpful or appreciated by any one.....
You seem glad that two of our championships may be short a round next year....really now, what kind of a rally fan are you if you can take delight in something like this.

Great news,
I think the 2009 calendar is the event the FIA feel comfortable with.
Looking at 2010, I think Finland will be back in.
12 rounds hopefully more teams
13 months away and Galway 2 weeks before hand maybe ?

Graham Curry
07-12-2007, 17:32
now thats a thought jon, galway as a shakedown 2 weeks before would certainly have a lot of testers, though is 2 weeks enough time to rebuild smacked cars if some of the drivers done damage ?

One of the main reasons rally ireland did'nt publish maps was to prevent illegall reece, if they do wat monte carlo did there'd be a feild day here regardless of cameras on stages.

They where worth the wait but ,,,thats a matter of opinion i think, if you just wanted a keepsake to take home with you, it was fantastic, HOWEVER, if you wanted to use it for maps and times etc during the rally, it was a complete disaster in my eyes, it was too big and clumsy to read in the car, and two staples wernt enough to hold it together, (mine fell apart on day 2!) Maybe the big programme would be great if the small rally planner had stage maps in it. I still like the donegal programme with the seperate map, because you can use the map all weekend and keep the programme as new.

If they weren't that size then they'd have been too small or the maps not clear enough blah blah blah.

If you went to an overseas WRC event you wouldn't get the programme until the Wednesday anyway. They give you an idea of where the stages were so be thankful. And talking about a cumbersome map and then saying it should be more like Donegal is just taking the p155.

Same as the rubbish with the jackets.

WE GOT THE ****ING WRC BACK AGAIN - QUIT GURNING.

Think it was same company the makes the GB programme. Didnt find much wrong with it. Ok a big marker covered the stage route so ya couldnt make out the stage bend by bend found that annoying. Didnt fall apart even with been thrown around the place. !!To big was it? Hard to read while driving

NOTE i started my post with "thats a matter of opinion" im entitled to my opinion and you are entitled to yours. AND as you brought the jackets up, i have not really been interested in that subject as running about in a PURPLE jacket dosnt appeal to me, BUT if you promise marshals jackets, how hard is it to work out how many jackets you are going to need????
