Researching an article for someone on the blue and white Bobby King Porsche. Trying to get a list of people together who drove it. So far I have Jimmy McRae (Galway 98), Paul Harris (Donegal 2000), Derek McGarrity (Galway 97), Roy White (Lurgan Park 2001), Dom Buckley (Lurgan Park 99, Donegal 99). Did anyone else drive that car on this island? As far as I'm aware it's the only car to have been driven by a British Champion, an Irish Champion, an Irish National Champion, a Group N Champion and an NI Champion.

2005 Galway, he won the National rally on stage times but was excluded for changing a puncture after a stage ! As there was no room for a spare he had to be met with one by team and someone reported ! Also did Donegal in 2005 but retired with power steering problems afaik .

The car Cullen drove in 2005 was a different 911, R reg car, newer shape. The one I'm researching is Q577TDS, the blue and white one

remember hearing at the time that the spectators were trying to get it back on the road but he told them not to bother cos she was such a yoke to drive. Not sure how true it was but a funny story at the time .

Very long shot. Am in contact with people here and in Scotland but it's proving difficult tracking down Bobby King himself. Gantspeed who built the cars haven't a number for him, Dom Buckley doesn't, Derek McGarrity doesn't.... If anyone has a recent contact number for him could you PM me please?

Thanks

Try Roy White he also used a Bobby King Porsche, failing that look for listings for Bobby King Construction in Scotland.
