The easiest rally to get to from the capital , picked up a flyer in Carlow , 1000 euro cash draw for one lucky runner in the main field , would help with one's costs , 350 for the Juniors/Historics , didn't go last year will put it in my diary for July

Dry sump pan fittings

Looking for the weld in dry sump pan fittings for making up a steel dry sump pan, they are 2 steel threaded tubes with bung bolts on one side and mesh Filters inside the tube, anybody know where I could get them?? Cheers

Bogie Times and SS Times

Hi all I know why bogie times are in place, but surely it is unfair for the a crew to loose out on a place because they were faster than the opposition, I'm sure this has probably being discussed before, but after Carlow and the bogie time being beaten on all 3 runs of ss2,5,8 I was just wondering what views people had on it as it doesnt seem to slow a competitor down as it was only Brian O' Mahony on ss2, then 4 drivers on ss5 and 5 drivers on ss8.

I don't really see a point in having a bogie time for a crew but maybe the club should have to stick to trying to set a stage up to the bogie time and then if a crew beats that time well fair enough but they keep that time

I know I mentioned this on the Carlow Thread, but a few of us got caught out by the FCD time in the programme as I'm sure a lot of people did, if this happens at a rally should spectator control not be informing the Marshalls who then inform people arriving at the junctions and or should spectator control be announcing that the stages in the case of Carlow were running 20 minutes earlier than the programme time as they drive the stage before the competing crews for safety issues?
Not Knocking the event as it was one of the best rallies I have been to in a hell of a long time, just wondering is there a procedure in place if something like this does happen and its realised? should the event be then run to the programme on safety grounds? should spectator control be announcing it, should marshalls be instructed to inform spectators? any other options?
