higgins did something like that in the focus a few years back did he not
that is some mental driving in a civic

wasnt quite the same... he just called the notes for the end of the super special in ulster....
Thats some driving in a standard road car with a set of suspensions and a set of yokohamas on it. No diff, no gear kit, standard brakes and standard engine. There should definately be some kind of one make series set up here for cars like that, maybe half tar half forest. i know there out of homologation now but forget about class awards. A car identical to the one in the video can be built for 8500euro or £5500stg if you have any notion of what your doing and will never break down, just tyres and fuel....Has to be the cheapest way to go rallying and have serious fun...

if it had no diff i asume it was an english Vti... but that definatly wasn't a standard Vti engine!!
It does 0-120mph in around 26secs which cant be a standard 1600 Sir vtec

does sounded like a standard box tho, he just changed into fifth and he said he was doing 120... the quaife kit isn't like that!
He ran this car in GpN that season, I dont think he would run a bent car, what all was allowed on these cars in gpn back then?
That is a standard vti civic not an sir civic. they have about 160bhp standard and maybe 170 with the ecu done. They would definately do 120mph in 26secs, sure they do 0-60 in bout 7 secs so that leaves them another 19-20 secs to get another 60mph done. the engine on that car sounds completely standard to me along with the rest of the car. I remember seeing videos from that year and he was awesome to watch in that car, and then Asquith Motorsport (who ran N McShea in the Saxo Kit Car) put Neil Wearden in a gp.A version of the civic and sent him to donegal in 1998 i think, anyone who seen that car will know that Higgins car is Gp.N....

I know lots of people in swifts and novas etc spending more than that whole car is costing on an engine alone. A bill falconer suzuki engine with 160-165bhp will set you back about £4500-5000stg, i just dont see the point in spending that kind of money on modifying a car and then it still breaks your heart with reliability problems like gearbox, drives etc....£5500 will build you a civic like that and you'll have years of trouble free motoring and if you have a set of balls like higgins you'll get some unreal results...
