you can buy all them items in your local pound shop, and make your own.
teng tools dose a kit ;)
vice grips ,pliers, snips, spanners, sockets and screwdrivers of differnt sizes and fits into a tidy fold up box about 14" long,8" wide and 3" deep. i've one and it sits just lovely behind your drivers seat! money well spent:yes:
All I did was buy a boot tidy and a bungie cord. All the stuff I need goes into the boot tidy, and it is then rolled up and tied with the bungie cord.
The tool kit has WD-40, assorted wires & electrical connections, reversible screwdriver, spare points, condenser, distributer cap and a selection of open & ring spanners for the common sizes of nuts in the car. I ensure that I have two items in every size.
The toolkit lives in a 30 year old car, so it also has Warning triangle, tow rope and jump leads, and it stays in the boot, tied onto the spare wheel.
The boot tidy also doubles up as a mat to lie on to avoid getting your clothes dirty.
Total cost - Boot tidy 5 euro (Lidl); Bungie cord found in garage; 40 euro for the rest of the stuff (I bought reasonably good tools, as opposed to the cheap ones) Grand Total, 50 euro (forgot cans of WD-40)
cheers Ian, where did you get the boot tidy? could be handy as something to lie on if i ever have to do road side repairs..
Just bought the Wrc toolbag from demon tweeks. & put all your own tools & spares eg petrol pump, brake pads, brake hoses. hose clips ect ect

Lidl. They had it as a special one day. It cost a fiver. The Boot Tidy is not big enough to lie on, but covers the knees while on the ground. The boot tidy will just cover the torso on the ground.
ah ok..
has anyone ever come across a tool chest with tools sold togethor? I was looking at the one in argos, but xtreme challenge? never heard of that brand before, 120euro aint bad for what it is, but is it any good.. couldnt afford a big teng tool set, low budget rallying! :gotcha:

the stuff in argos isnt to bad i know someone who has one and its ok
some of the teng stuff isnt that dear the big boxes are but half the stuff you wont want start by buying a few bits and add to it when you have the money
stay away from snap on and big names like that there way to expensive for what the are.
the budget draper stuff is quite good
