Hi. Is there anyone that does Irish rally cars, the likes of Donnelly or Nesbitt, in 1/18 scale? All I've seen is 1/43's, and they are very tempting, but I'd just prefer the 1/18. Thanks!

They are generally one off jobs. They are generally too expensive to get base models to do a larger run. You mentioned a nesbitt model, if its the cuisine de france car, that base model is hard to find these days, and could set you back over €200. Thats before all the work goes into stripping it, respraying, drawing up decals, printing and applying decals etc. Its just easier to do 1/43 as there are more bases available.

But there are guy out there that will do it, but it wont be cheap

Try www.rallymodelforum.com, helpful crew. Stuff pops up occasionally like the Donnelly and Meeke S12's, DMG S9 etc. Pretty hard to come by and your talking big price too. I have 4 shelves full of 1:18 WRC's and MkII's, would love to do a few Irish cars but as Wobbles said its a lot of hassle compared to 1:43

Right, so seeing as a one-off special is probably out of the question money wise, what about if I can supply the car & just get 4 stickers put on it? I'd rather someone who knows what they're doing do it rather than me make a balls of it!
