tried one before and it was a disaster, what way are you connecting, maybe a graytronics clip on headset would be a better option if its 1 helmet not suiting!!

i used one with my peltor in monaghan forest...its obviously not as good as a peltor intercom...its hard te know how loud your shouting....but it worked perfect...the driver had no complaints...as far as we could see there is not a lot of difference between a peltor and an adaptor and a greytronics headset...

Absolute disaster, and they are way overpriced. Couldn't believe I had to hand over a 50 for one. They are made from low quality cable, are tacky and often don't work. If Maplin made them, they'd be €3.99 max!!

If i was given a similar type connection for using with a PA sytem, and then asked 50 euro for it, it would be beyone funny, actually the person would probably be on the receiving end of some GBH!

Plastic coated sound connectors are low quality ****, I'd only use silver or gold colour metal connections, but AFAIK they are not available for the Graytronics adaptor

Typical of the thieving pineapples who manufacture so-called 'specialised' motorsport equipment, ever enquired the price of a nomex flirefighters suit...trust me you'd be unimpressed!

Also a Greytronics amp ain't powerful enough to connect 2 adapted Peltors but personally I'd swear by Peltor over Graytronics stuff, better quality equipment. It's like comparing a works spec SONY hi fi with an POUNDSHOP RADIO.

Its a false economy because a misheard note may cost lots more than 450 euros for a new peltor helmet

No they're not!!!!
Around 140 sterling for the FMT110 Amplifier box.
Think its another 25 sterling for a battery eliminator.

Give JP a shout CTD he has loads of them.
Better off buying a decent intercom startin off, you'll have it forever.
Them adaptor thingys aint the best. They do work but save yourself some hassle and get the proper job.

Mis hear a note on a **** intercom and you'll be spendin a lot more than you'll save by skimpin on the intercom!!!

Tropsrotom are you talking from experience there?

When it comes to electronics, i perfer to keep like with like.

Depending on the type of Helmet you possess, you might be able to swap the headset.

Last year i had the same situation, did not like the look of the adapter, so instead got a complete headset, and swapped it into the helmet. Since then have regularly swapped between the two.

It can be tricky at first, and you have to be careful not to do damage, but its better for piece of mind.

Can't remember the exact price for the headset, but think it was between €80 - €110 euro.
