View Full Version : Suzuki swift gti gearbox??? Brian Boyd 09-01-2011, 22:09 have a gti gearbox and the standard diff is ducked in it and i have a gearbox from a 1300 glx .. does anyone no if the diffs are stronger in the gti or are they the same.. thanks in advance for any info.. rossgamble1987 10-01-2011, 20:58 different final drive ratio i imagin but strenth wise id be surprised if they weren't the same diff just count the teeth on the crown wheels incase there different Brian Boyd 10-01-2011, 23:37 ya i read up there that they have the same ammount of teeth and they will fit but the strength in the gti would be better so i think il go for that , the safer option.. jp ruth 11-01-2011, 01:15 It's being 10 or 11 years since I rallied a swift but I had gearbox trouble with it and I used a standard 1.3 gearbox in it, the gti box was hard got even back then, but it work fine in it and was plenty reliable, I remember we used the gti casing for the exact reason I don't remember, |
