im guessing that you lighten the shit out of it, but what elce you add??? roll bar? roll cage?? a in date seat? and fire stuff... cut off switch? petrol tank??

any other stuff you need could you please tell me.. ive tryed looking at the green book but couldent really find anything... if its in there could someone please tell me where it is..

basicly you need a cage, seat harness and a hand held extinguisher..standard tank will do fine n ya need an electrical cut off switch and of course as much platein as possible on the under carrage tank n sump guard atleast. (all the details are in appendix s in green book)

1.4 dual carb civic's seem to be the thing for class1 although im runnin an ickle 1.3 at the moment..only startin out meself done 3 events so far must admit tis good craic n the people are very helpful..

Does anyone know roughly about how much it would be to prep and purchase the cheapest car for autocross???

well to be honest the sky is the limit i could set ye up with a cage, seat, belt etc etc for small money but the thing is once you start where do you stop.. if someone wanted a cage for a nova well say 425+vat a seat 160+vat a belt 140+vat.. time to fit a nova cage once its stripped out is about two and a half hours.....

THESE PRICES A ROUGHLY OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD

the best way to go is probly a nova. cheap to get bits for and easy to sell on and you can keep adding bits on to it as you please. basically you need a cage a seat harnesses an extinguisher an a kill switch and the rest is quite simple:cheers:

a old civic would be a good car as well something like a 1400 or 1500 vtec a nova is ok if you spend a load of money on the engine the std engines are **** a civic will rev all day long and stuff for them is no more expensive than a nova

i agree civic's are cheap as chips and will go forever. standard v standard they walk away from a nova every time..I would advise buyin a pre built car theres plenty around.. I bought mine needin seat n extinguisher n few other jobs..includein changin the engine over to a dual carb 1.4(whenever i get around to it) the whole thing will stand me about 2grand..

i'd advise stickin to a 1.4 as if you go 1.5vtec your in class 2 and will be up against 1.6DOHC's...

@fatboymotorsport are ya not thinkin of autograss???
