Is this allowed as I know it is not at the finish Ramp.

Also alot of **** went on at punchestown a couple of years ago when Colin Mc was at it in Carnegie's Focus

Thought it was banned

ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS "MY TYRES WENT OFF AND THE CAR WAS LAUNCHED INTO A FEW UNCONTROLLABLE SPINS"

Speaking of donuts, you may have seen Loeb, Solberg and Galli do a few at the finish ramp in Argentina. Apparently they've each been fined €10,000. Can't see the sense in handing out fines for a bit of crowd pleasing as it seems to be normal behaviour at many WRC events.

This is crazy, who imposed the fine? Sure is only a bit of crack, remember the Burnsie and Loix at Punchestown? Was a great days entertainment

Here you go: (it was Loeb, Stol and Galli)

"The FIA, the governing body of the World Rally Championship has apparently fined Rally Argentina winner, Sebastien Loeb and three of his colleagues for performing a donut for the crowd prior to driving over the finish ramp at the Cordoba stadium on Sunday.

However, as the organisers of the event had asked them to do it to help entertain the 40,000 people, who had just watched the two super-specials that closed the event, it does seem a bit harsh.

Loeb, Gigi Galli, Manfred Stohl and Daniel Sordo were each fined 10,000 Euros for what was viewed as 'hazardous actions'.

"That is absolutely ridiculous," said Stohl. "During the super stage, going 120, you fly by the audience so close you could shave them with your side mirror. And then they come up with such a thing!
The OMV Peugeot driver, who finished fourth though, was unwilling to say anymore in case the FIA opted to take further action.

Galli meanwhile who was on the podium for the first time admitted that he didn't know what they can and can't do. "I would like to say, only a small advice. When I was on the podium, nobody told me what I had to do," he continued. "I couldn't know what I was doing, one person said if you want, you can do donuts. I do that and, for me, it was a pleasure..."

thats stupid sure the like of galli was born driving a car sideways, hes a very good pilot! but when some spectators who tink there the **** start doin them it gets dangerous because they dont really know what thre at, no offence to anyone i like the odd donut meself but just keep the rallys safe or there wont be any anymore!!!:caution::caution:

Robbie, will you send me your address by email to info@roydempster.com and I will send you a CD with all the taken pics from the weekend including the Dohnuts.

I was at the gap on Sunday morning and the buzz was fantastic, helped in no small way by you having a bit of crack with the crowd. It put a smile on everyones face on a cold wet morning, and showed what Rallying should be about after alot of the nonsense which went on at the weekend.

Also what about the Garda on duty on sunday morning, they were also great fun and had some crack with the crowd despite having to get spectators cars moved of the stage to enable the event to run safely.

For once I have to agree with Dougie and say that Molls Gap is the best place anywhere to watch a rally.

People like Kenna make the 8 hour drive to Killarney worth while............ unlike the Killarney Hotels who double the prices because it's rally weekend.
