Looking for a distributer to run my 1600 twincam 4age on carbs-what ye got?reply to this or gimme a shout on 0860662803.

Get distributer from old DX hatchback (AE71 I think) Take it and 4AGE Distributer to a good Engineering shop. They should be able to shorten shaft from AE71 and fit Gear from 4AGE and manufacture shim as the shaft is lighter!
Distributer will only be held on with 1 stud but will work a dream for maybe €150!
Alternatively, Spend €800+ on getting a 'proper one'
iv a one off a rwd starlet here,plus a few 4age ones.no one has much experience around here with stuff like that.any pics?

My mate used the distributer, coil and module of a 2.0l injection sierra modified it a bit then set the timing at 28 degrees worked a treat
I had a Corolla Sr wit 4age Engine back 10 years ago! Distributor on it was from some Ford but needed much modification! When it blew I was quoted £500stg for a replacement one!
Did as i said in previous post and it cost £40punt!
Worked like a dream!!
Engine still running as far as I know,sold it last year!
@mickymac-saw those was horrid tempted to purchase.ya need to run a ht coil with it tho!let me know how ya get on with it!
the pinto conversion is fairly common,japs use toyota ones tho,im sure its simple enough!
