SHOULD WRC CARS B PUT OUT OF NATIONAL AND LET THE CLUB MAN OUT OF THE RESERVE TO GET THE RUN . KEEP THE WRC CARS FOR INTERNATIONALS INSTEAD, SHOULD THIS B DONE TO MAKE THINGS FAIR FOR THE REST OF US, GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE TO WIN A ROUND.

well unforchantly SOME wrc cars are out of homalagation and they have no option but to do national rallies. Some of the new group N cars are just as quick as older wrc cars and they can run in the national also:idea::idea::idea::idea:

u have a good point there, well should it b restricted to cars 5 or more years old then

so

should we ban all cars over 1600cc so it will be fare for the even smaller guys?

is the class awards not set up for this sort of thing?

it is but what about someone out in a 99 sub or evo 5, now no matter fast they are they wont beat the likes of ring or foley or fanning. do u know where in coming from. just to give everyone a fair chance to win tne rally

i think they should be aloud run but not score points. how many of them are driven to potential in the national anyway

everyone deserves a chance, but to ban wrc cars alltogether???

what exactely are you smoking??

i wouldnt mind it becoming pre 2001 cars!!!! that would make it way more competitive.

there are drivers out in alot of rallies (every weekend) and doing 2 and 3 championships more in some cases. why not restrict them to just one championship this will alleviate alot of the problems. and any non-championship rallies should give priority to people who have not entered any championship whatsoever. or could 2 rallies take place on the same day maybe at opposite ends of the country. look at any entry nowadays most of the time you hear "we could have ran 2 rallies this weekend" i think these are better options than banning any cars!

its not fair to ban wrc's from nationals some of the drivers oviously cant do the internationals due to work and so on
the same can be said for the internationals the could ban the modifieds but the dont the run a seprate rally for them wonder how the would like it if the were being banned from donegal and killarney ? i

f we start banning cars it will turn out like the uk where u need a degree in english to understand there classes and rally entry lists.

if you are having trouble getting into rallies there is loads of single stages and non national rallies enter those and get some results and then try the national rallies i know its fustrating but thats rallying

No matter what championship you have money men will always get to the top quicker, escorts now costing 40000 euros + so the big money men can get the best mountune, millington powerplant and squeeze the pintos out. They can buy more tyres. hard to run 2 rallies on the 1 day with officials and marshals scarce on the ground

If WRC's get banned or at least limited to a certain age like the different classes in the historic sections then the national championship will lose its appeal to the spectators, not all want to see the point and squirt wrc machines & and not all want to see the clubman. This topic has been talked about on many occasions and i'm sure the debate will rage on year by year.

Ban all wrc cars from National rounds and the people who drive them will buy top of the line group N cars, allow 5 year old wrc's and hey presto the same people will downgrade to 5 year old cars. The top 10 or so drivers are doing the national championship because they can fit it in around there work schedule and they prefere the 1 day rally format. Baning the type of cars that rule the roost will not force these people onto internationals and make room for junior drivers.
If the arguement is that some of these WRC's are not being driven to there full potential, I've a dvd of Mark Higgins driving a Gp A nova on the Manx Rally which demonstrates that theres alot more speed to be had out of small clubman cars driven on our stages. Its a hobbie at the end of the day whether your in a wrc or 1300 gp N, once you've paid your licence fee you should be entitled to a start on any rally.

Going on that train of tought does a lad driving the nuts off a 1600cc car not deserve a rally where he can expect to win outright, or a 1300. How can it be justified that the front gp N runners are being deprived of an outright victory more than anyone in any of the lower classes. There's no doubt that without wealth you can't have a seat at the top end, but thats rallying, you choose a class you can afford to compete in and drive like f c u k hopeing to beat everybody else in your class, not wish to have the rules changed so anybody with better machinary is forced to downgrade to your class??
