Pipes must be steel braided, would the pipes your thinking of using be agricultural type pipes ?

Can't see any reason why they can't be used, but to be honest they weigh a alot more than your conventional braided pipes, you will get every scrutineer giving you hassle about why you used them and prob tell you they cant be used....

I know the braided pipes are by no means cheap but in the long run it will be alot less hassle.

And plus it would look wild farmerish with heavy duty digger pipes in it :D

this argument really annoys me what the hell is wrong with the digger pipes they a hell of a lot stronger than aeroquip ones, ok they mightn't look as well, but some guys cars are work horses not show ponies. I know which one i'd rather have some of them are double braided with swaged on ends that wont come off under that relatively low pressure.
I think some scrutineers have lost the run of themselves these days and if a part doesn't have an expensive brand name then its no good

I know some of the agricultural type pipe suppliers can put a braided sleeve over the pipe if you want it to look the part.

the digger pipes dont look great, its going to cost around 900 euros for the braided pipes and fittings or around 400 euros for the hyd pipes. I would rather spend the money on some other part of her,

Was told by a scrutineer to remove the hydraulic pipes because in a fire the fumes from the rubber would be toxic and kill me.
Personally i think it was a load of b#ll#cks, but changeed them for peace sake.

That's because we have fairy liquid for extinguishers!
The toxic fumes wouldn't even exist if AFFF was done away with.

Price would be the only advantage hyd piping would have over aeroquip.
The braided hose offers better heat dissapation, less resistance to flow hence oil running at a slightly lower temp. The hyd can also be quite rigid to work in tight areas.
Also ive seen the ferrules used to crimp the hyd hoses leak/fail completely regardless the working pressure or type fluid passed through them:o

A footwell full of hot engine oil and a knackered engine certainly no fun:mad:
