Indemnification
(a) “I have read the Supplementary Regulations issued for this event and agree to be bound by them and by the General Competition Rules of the Royal Irish Automobile Club/Motorsport Ireland. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry or of my being permitted to take part in this event I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified the Birr & District Motor Club Ltd (Organising Club), the Royal Irish Automobile Club, Irish Motorsport Federation Ltd. t/a Motorsport Ireland, and their respective officials, servants, representatives and agents from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss of or damage to the person or property of myself, my driver(s), passenger(s) or mechanic(s) (as the case may be) howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with this entry or my taking part in this event and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the said bodies, their officials, servants, representatives or agents. Furthermore, in respect of any parts of this event on ground where Third Party Insurance is not required by law, this agreement shall in addition to the parties named above extend to all and any other competitor(s) and their servants and agents and to all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of loss of or damage to the person or property of myself, my driver(s), passenger(s) or mechanic(s).

(b) “I declare that to the best of my belief the driver(s), passenger(s) possess the standard of competence necessary for an event of the type to which this entry relates and that the car entered is suitable and roadworthy for the event having regard to the course and the speeds which will be reached”.
(c) “I understand that should I at the time of this event be suffering from any disability whether permanent, temporary or otherwise which is likely to affect prejudicially my normal control of my automobile, I may not take part unless I have declared such disability to MI, who have, following such declaration issued a licence which permits me to do so”.
(d) “I undertake that at the time of the event to which this entry relates I shall be in possession of a current certificate of medical fitness” .In the case of MI Licence Holders only certificates on the official MI or FIA Medical Forms will be accepted.
(e) Any indemnity and/or declaration as prescribed by sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) above which is signed by a person under the age of 18 years shall be countersigned by that person’s parent or guardian, whose full names and address shall be given. Furthermore, the parents and/or guardians of persons under 18 years of age shall grant permission to MI and the Irish Sports Council to carry out tests in accordance with the Irish Anti-Doping Rules (GCR Part XX) in the following form:
“I/we hereby grant permission to MI and the Irish Sports Council to carry out tests as set out in Part XX of the GCRs in accordance with the Irish Anti-Doping Rules.”

Loose Surface Autocross


30th November 2008.


Counting Round of the Jerry Murphy Tyres Munster Championship.


This will be an open Loose Surface Autocross to be held under the international sporting code of the FIA, the GCR’S of motorsport Ireland including appendix 86 of the current motorsport Ireland yearbook, these supplementary regulations and other instructions that may be issued. Motorsport Ireland Permit No 08/197 has been issued for the event. The organizers have reserved the right to cancel or postpone the event or part of it in exceptional circumstances.

The event takes place at Ballinakill Moyeygall, Co Offaly (By kind permission from Kelly Bros Fantane), off the main Nenagh-Roscrea Road N7. The event will be arrowed from Moneygall & Dunkerrin.
Check in & Mechanical Scrutiny will be in the pit and starts at 9.30AM.

Entries are open to all drivers whom hold a current license and log book which must be produced at scrutiny.
Entries are open on publication of these regulations
Competitors will be excluded from the results for the following offences.
1 Failure to wear safety belt and crash helmet of the approved type while on the course.
2 Failure to have appropriate type fire extinguisher in the car at all times during the event
3 Failure to pass scrutiny or to arrive at scrutiny after practice has begun.
4 Failure to obey a reasonable request from an official.
5 Use of spikes, studs, chains and altered tyre patterns.

Scrutiny Requirements.
All cars must pass scrutiny
All cars must be fitted with fire extinguishers of approved type
All cars must be fitted with full roll cage and have laminated windscreens.
All cars must be fitted with FIA approved seats.
Fire proof clothing must be worn as per MI regulations.
Overhead/ roof skid pans and side netting are compulsory on specials.
Seats, safety belts and helmets of approved type must be used. See specification in current yearbook and latest MI bulletins.

Classes
1 Saloon cars up to 1450cc.
2 Saloon cars from 1451cc. to 1650cc.
3 Saloon cars from 1651cc. to 2050cc.
4 Saloon cars 2051cc. and over and all four wheel drive.
5 All Specials

AWARDS
1ST, 2ND & 3RD in each class, Ladies, Juniors & BADMC Drivers and Best Novice.
Winners of the overall award will not be eligible for class awards. Additional awards may be presented.

Protests will only be accepted as per MI regulations. No case for force majeure will be considered once a competitor has started the event. Ties will be resolved in favour of the competitor with the smallest cc’s.
Failing this, the fastest first run.

THE CLERK OF THE COURSE HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AN ENTRY without having to assign a reason.
