A silly Question

This may be a silly question but could someone tell me the length of a 1/43 model and 1/18 model.

I am looking to start collecting Irish tarmac models and have been offered Austin MacHale's focus in a scale of 1/43 now or wait a few months and get a 1/18 model.

1/43 is about 95mm bumper to bumper and 40mm wide. In 1/18 scale the lenght is 230mm long and 95 mm wide. I reckon you should stick to 1/43 as they will take up less space and also you have a better chance of getting what you want in the smaller scale. I make 1/24 scale Irish cars and do my own decals so if you are stuck for a particular car let me know. I plan to do Austins 05 Focus at some point in the next few months, after I do Breens Focus, Harrison 05 Scooby and Berties M3-its all go.
