officially the best 10mins of moving picture i have ever seen in my life!
to quote david moynahin.. 'awesome'!
James Sharkey 18-06-2008, 21:34 does not make any difference to his pace on that stage from the wide fast stuff to the narrow lanes at the end,he,s TTT, that navi,s on the ball to,dont forget its a crew and he,s really enjoying it by the sounds of him at the end of the stage
Graham Curry 18-06-2008, 23:17 how come nagle didn't sit with him as i thought they had a good partnership built up?
Quinner11 18-06-2008, 23:25 Tats definetly the best onboard ive ever seen:D..Unbelievable committment:eek::eek:!!!!!!!!!!
Quinner11 18-06-2008, 23:26 how come nagle didn't sit with him as i thought they had a good partnership built up?

Graham Curry 18-06-2008, 23:27 ah right right, fair play to paul and david for both being fit to keep the notes flowing for Ireland's only hope at top level world rallying IMHO
Superb.
Also on Youtube if you prefer. I can't watch MadVids:
Knockalla - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLptg6BYNoo
Molls - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpg9UqYo9jY
And a new one I hadn't seen of Kris in the C2R2 from Rally Poland 2006
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amF1G_K0JTE
They'll need to get the spectators better organised for their WRC round but good to see them applauding a driver on a stage.
that jump was 8:50 was class
Kevin O Brien 19-06-2008, 04:16 i never saw a man carry speed as well trough a corner...
serious man 4 one man... and fair play to the to
lads 4 keeping the note's going at that pace and being so calm
Sid$Knee 19-06-2008, 09:01 Hallo do you have any video of him from the Donegal rally?
brilliant vid wow at the speed and the notes and the throttle flat to the floor- world class stuff!!
Eamonn Walsh 19-06-2008, 12:08 Unreal!
Fair play to Moynihan. 10 out of 10.
One of the best in-cars i've ever seen, world class stuff, for god sake someone send that on to dave richards, let him see how much of a talent that guy is..:D
Mark English 19-06-2008, 17:59 that jump was 8:50 was class
Yeah, a bit of a moment alright:)
D.young85 19-06-2008, 20:03 Thats a mighty bit off steering hi. The man is some talent, the nav never missed a beat either..
Excellent viewing. from 3.10 to 3.40 the commitement is unreal..
I know that was Gary's 2nd run through, was it Kris's 1st or 2nd run?
I know that was Gary's 2nd run through, was it Kris's 1st or 2nd run?
that was kris's first run up it i tink cos u can hear him changin sum notes.. if thats the case am i right in sayin that's his very first time over knockalla in a rally car? if so its even more incredible!

Ya you can hear him changing a few al right....but the road looks dry from what i can see. It was damp on the first run. It might be the 2nd run over it.Maybe im wrong now:confused::confused::confused:
whats the power to weight ratio of the yolks being compared...150 horese in clio and 280 in escort ?
whats the power to weight ratio of the yolks being compared...150 horese in clio and 280 in escort ?
More like 230 horses in that clio.......
Astounding. Compulsive and thoroughly entertaining viewing.
fully floating 21-06-2008, 11:58 im fairly sure its the second run tru alright well i know it is i can see myself on the vid and i had moved places from the first to the second run on the stage
patrickis 21-06-2008, 15:07 The Knockalla vid is unreal - without doubt our best pilot.
Simon Duggan 21-06-2008, 15:36 that was unbelivieable.....the man is some tidy pilot!!! hence the lines he had on the wider section, they were perfect:eek::eek: the 2 jumps involved some commitment aswell.top job on the notes also:)
i think kris and david are a great team together, kris has serious tallent, and david is good and clear with the notes.them boys have some balls
Bryan Murphy 21-06-2008, 23:21 The Knockalla vid is unreal - without doubt our best pilot.
Our best pilot:o::o::o:There is is plenty like him if they got a chance now.
the yellow budgie 21-06-2008, 23:33 It shows that whatever car and co-driver combination Meeke has he can still pull the result off.I think Keith Cronin with experience in the same cars could do the same.If only I could win the euro millions id put money behind them and im sure the results would be satisfactory??
Sir V Tec 22-06-2008, 00:07 Brilliant vid, I saw another few on the big screen in Gleneagle in Kilarney in May and also amazing. I hope Kris puts it up for sale if he wants to make a few yo yos. I would buy for sure!!
More like 230 horses in that clio.......
Not sure it's as much as 250. Far as I know it's only an 02 spec donkey in the Clio which I think would be around 210 or so. Anybody know for definite? Kris reckons the chassis handles better than the works C2 S1600 but a good bit less power.
Stunning commitment from Kris but what else would you expect from the man. Must say David is a thoroughly top class nav as well. Definitely second run of Knockalla.
patrickis 22-06-2008, 18:17 Our best pilot:o::o::o:There is is plenty like him if they got a chance now.
plenty??? where exactly are they? id like to see them...
lockeddiff 23-06-2008, 12:29 plenty??? where exactly are they? id like to see them...
even in uk... there is no-one to touch him.
Gary Nolan 23-06-2008, 17:45 Not taking anything away from Kris, that is savage goin and top class note calling from Dave also. But at what I would class as roughly the half way mark on Knockalla where u turn hairpin right into the tigher part, Kris had 4 seconds on Gary, and incidentally 6 on us. He then proceeded to take 17 seconds over the second half out of both Gary and us, and we gave it our all in there. It has to say something about a S1600 bein driven on the limit. Yes it doesn't have the power of a Millington but it's a factory built car with some of the world best designers working on them. The braking power of a super 1600 is better than that of a WRC, in the dry anyway.
Once again, i'm not taking anything away from Kris he is Irelands top driver and is still one of the fastest S1600 pilots in the world. But it is only now we are bein shown how good a S1600 car is, no offence to anyone who has or is currently aboard one.

so what your really saying..."how the hell did he take 24s off us, and we have 80-90 more horsepower!"
so what your really saying..."how the hell did he take 24s off us, and we have 80-90 more horsepower!"
What if Meeke wasn't "on the limit"? By his standards.
Gary Nolan 24-06-2008, 10:26 so what your really saying..."how the hell did he take 24s off us, and we have 80-90 more horsepower!"
I've just expalained how he did, that he is the best driver in Ireland, that he is one of the best S1600 pilots in the world and also we are now only been shown the true speed of a S1600.
And one other slight advantage he had over I would guess all of the 2wd men:
If he clunks her he doesn't have to pay for her!! :)
rallyireland 24-06-2008, 19:31 cracking video - mcrae standard commitment!
