a mate applied for his MSA national b navi rally licience at st angelos rally a few weeks back he paid the fee and filled out the forms & recieved the licience there, but i was under the impresion that it was compulsery to do the BARS test even if getting a navi licience??? is he entitled to do for example the mourne rally this wkend with what he has?
I think that you are able to apply for a co driving licence on the day of events. This is not the same as a nat b licence which must be applied for in advance.I think!!!!!

Not having seen what he has its difficult to know. I have a non race national B navigators license which had to be applied for from the MSA. It is credit card style with a photo of me and a license number on it. Does this sound like what your mate has. BARS course is only for drivers. An official from any of the motor clubs running rallys should be able to look at the license and tell you.

if he applied for it at st angelos he should have it by now. it is suffice for him to do the mournes, you ony need to do a BARS test for a driving licence not for a navi licence, except for international as the is no international navi licence only a full licence. Tell him to call the MSA and they can fax a cover letter to let him do the mournes with his rally licence details on it
