the date on the seat is the manufacture date.You add 5 years to that date for FIA expiration and add another 3 for MI... Basically anything other than international is good for 8 years

so seats will do for autocross 8 years from the marked date?

I have OMP seats in my car and they are stamped 03-08.Does that mean so that for national events that they are good for a few more years ie National forestry???
