By any chance is there anyone out there who has a photo of a rally car from the 1984 Rothmans Circuit of Ireland with its door plate visible-square On. Or anyone who has an actual doorplate from a car from the event on a wall some where. Want to make some decals for a car from the event and before you ask which car? Bertie's Manta of course In 1/24. Or Donegal will do too

I have the kit and the intention, even have a scan of the Vitesse decals. All I need is the time as usual. Between starting up again working for myself in Dublin and a wanton woman in Crawfordsburn-really am knackered.

Just had a look at the PJ Coleman Manta on the link.

One thing that strikes me.......If the photo from David above is from the 1984 Circuit...and I have no doubt that it is,then why is the font on the door panel on PJ's model BLUE when it is plainly BLACK in the photo_????

Typically so from PJ-it is the wrong colour!

In fairness to PJ, I was just looking at some of the photos on rally retro's site of the car and he seems to have it spot on, in some photos which I presume he bought it actually looks like the blue is a lighter colour where's in others it looks navy. So it depends what photos he bought.

Who are you calling predjudiced??? I speak from experience. I purchased models from PJ that were not up to scratch,FACT...... The font on the photo on Toivonens Porsche is Navy....the font on the model made by PJ rallymodels is light blue.......FACT.

If I'm paying top dollar for the product I'm entitled to expect top quality. That's not prejudice David,they are the FACTS.

I have a good res action photo of the car,(blue tape on the front bumper included to hold it on :) ) and it's defo Toivonen.
