the car in the video that flatcrest showed you is of Alan Roddy. His car is prepared by himself and Steven Gault (aka dynotune). Steven is a sound guy and he will tell you all you need to know.

"this box is compatible with all TU type engines which means it will appeal to all AX, Saxo and C2 owners, as well as to owners of its cousins, the 106 and 206."

The 5 speed will fit straight in, the 6 spped is much more work- you need to cut the chassis leg on passenger side of car and rebox it in. other mods to heaster box etc for linkage if its RHD. and move power steering pump.

Paul Mcgrath rang us about fitment, we talked him thru it, we have also had Andrew Bushe down looking at installation for his Saxo Kit car.

We can fit it for you if needs arise.

Are you on about the 5 or 6 speed box ?

Do the shafts need shortened or how did you get round the problem ?

Cheers !

not reallysure about the intent of that ascona when in fact we are giving free advice here and being as we are the first to put a 6 speed in and only the 2nd in british isles we were trying to help by pointing out the pitfalls. No bad intent meant here on our part at all.. as for needing work.. thats just silly, plenty for everyone and if you were every here youd know we are booked in advance.

if you were indeed privy to that conversation then infact we also advised on how to convert the lever from lhd to rhd, how to avoid the heater matrix with mechanism and the chassis leg problem, as well as sorting the flat shift and linking it to ECU.

As for driveshaft lengths- When you buy a box from Sadev (or SWR -the rep) you are supplied with a dummy casing . You remove the springs from the dampers, reassemble and then supply Sadev with full bump and droop lengths for the car so that shaft splines can be set accordingly.

If you buy a 5 speed as per the the kit for C2R2 and are putting it in another car, then you may/may not have length problems.. as it is not something we have done.. we would not advise on solutions. we would rather go on experience rather than heresay.

If anyone is fitting a C2R2 sadev sequential box in anything, I can supply a digital gear display that will work directly off the very unusual sadev magnetic sensor unit.

It's a plug and play unit, all that's required is to plug into the sensor connector on the gearbox and apply 12v to the display box, it comes ready calibrated, nothing to do at all, it just works and not expensive.

The unit is fully developed and tested on my own C2R2 & Sadev box.

If anyones interested please PM me or e-mail me direct at mefmotorsport@btinternet.com or ring me 07837 721986.

Cheers,

Martin
